The Class 14 has Landed!

Our Limited Edition Class 14's produced by Heljan have now arrived in the UK. They landed at Southampton Docks on Tuesday of this week and will be unloaded/handled on Friday 29/01/2010. They will then be forwarded on to us week commencing Monday 01/02/2010 and we are expecting them in to stock Middle to Late that week.

We have to work very hard to stay on top of the (literally) thousands of orders which we recieve each week, and sometimes the shop can seem more like a warehouse than a place for casual browsing..

After a concerted effort, we have the shop in the best state its been in for years, and we are proud to see that it really can scrub up well! We would like to assure all that we are working to try and make further improvements and realise that 14 pallets of stock freshly in from Bachmann or Hornby, being distributed around the small shop area doesnt make it easy to manoevure

Shop customers are always more than welcome, and shouldn't hesitate to ask for a cup of tea if they would like one - we realise that many of you travel very long distances to see us.

Heljan Class 14 Limited Edition

Customers who have a preorder for the one (or more) of Heljan Class 14 Teddy Bears will be pleased to hear that production has now been completed in China, and these are expected into stock in the new year. The journey from China to Denmark will take 6 or 7 weeks (by boat), there will be a period of checking and then they will be sent to us.

We did enquire about the cost of sending them from China to Denmark by plane instead of boat, but were shocked to find that it added significantly to the cost - boat is about 1/5 of the cost of airfreight.

We will be emailing all customers with orders and email notification requests in the next few days, to confirm what we are planning to charge for and send them, when they arrive.
